The four highest-paid Bayern Munich stars in the 2024/25 season

Bayern Munich are one of the three biggest clubs in the world alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona, and even in a down year in the Bundesliga last season, they still came agonizingly close to returning to the Champions League Final.

This season, Bayern Munich look even more dangerous, and it seems like they are bouncing back with a vengeance in the Bundesliga, having just beaten Holstein Kiel 6-1 in a demolition reminiscent of their peak days with “Robbery” and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Bayern kept the momentum going with a 9-2 barrage of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League opener, pulling away from the Croatian side after the opponents cut a 3-0 lead to 3-2; Bayern then put six past Zagreb.

As Bayern Munich continue to rack up the results under Vincent Kompany, they must continue to take stock of their wage bill and the players they will decide to keep or let go in the short and long-term future.

BILD released a report of the highest-paid players on Bayern Munich, and, currently in the 2024/25 season, they have four players who are making 20 million euros in wages.

Harry Kane, the record-breaking striker, is unsurprisingly the best-paid player, earning 24 million euros if all bonuses are fulfilled on a contract he signed in summer 2023 from Tottenham. He has been worth every cent as a Ballon d’Or candidate.

Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich, Manuel Neuer, and Leroy Sane are all making 20 million euros. At their best, all three are worth that amount, but, at their worst, some Bayern fans would wonder if they should only be making half that amount.

Neuer is the greatest goalkeeper of all time, but he is no longer even the best in the Bundesliga. It is fair to wonder how long the 38-year-old will last as the Bayern star, but who wants to be the one to push the club legend out?

Sane looked like a Ballon d’Or candidate at the beginning of the last season before his play tailed off. Bayern Munich fans want the winger to be all he can be – and be more consistent.

Kimmich has become more valued under Kompany and should stay for a few more years, if Bayern are smart. And if not, former Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick would gladly take him at Barcelona in 2025.
