David Ornstein provides encouraging Randal Kolo Muani to Tottenham transfer news

The hot topic around Tottenham right now is Randal Kolo Muani, as the PSG striker is ticketed for a move out of the French capital after failing to impress since a whopping 95 million euro transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.

But outside of PSG, Kolo Muani has been quite good, including a season with 15 goals and 11 assists that led to the big move to Paris and acclaim as one of the best all-around No. 9’s in Europe.

Tottenham are hoping that Kolo Muani can get back to that level in North London, and he was previously a good player in Ligue 1, too, before flailing in his return to the French top flight with the league’s biggest team.

According to top Premier League transfer insider David Ornstein on YouTube, it looks like Tottenham are the team showing the most interest in Kolo Muani in the early going, via Last Word on Spurs:

“There is interest most pertinently, right now, from Tottenham [in Muani], who have him as their top option to fill a versatile attacking role.”

Meanwhile, Ornstein adds that both Manchester United and Juventus are also interested in RKM, but neither side have made any concrete approaches for the 26-year-old striker.

There have been rumors that Kolo Muani favors a transfer to Juventus, but those are not substantiated by most transfer insiders at this time. It is a wide open race, and, if the sheer quantity of rumors are anything to go by, this hint from Ornstein that Spurs are showing the most interest appears to be the case.

Tottenham have needs elsewhere in the squad and already spent 60 million pounds on Dominic Solanke, but if they are truly sold on Kolo Muani as a player and as a fit for Ange Postecoglou, it’s not a bad thing for them to be so proactive with their interest.

It’s a scene Spurs fans have seen far too often, wherein “Interested FC” are linked to a big name on the transfer market, only to not actually show up with a competitive offer when the time comes.

Perhaps the Kolo Muani case will be different, and as with Solanke, even if there are critics of a deal, it might actually be better for a club the size of Tottenham to make a few high-profile transfer gambles than stand pat and miss out on a player who could help them reach their goals.
