The Bundesliga has always been a haven for producing young footballing talent for all the leagues in world football, and the Premier League, in particular, have become fond of plucking the newest budding young talent from the German top flight.
As 2026 continues, here is a look at 10 young stars in Germany who are worth watching closely and should be available in the upcoming summer 2026 transfer window when June hits.
RB Leipzig LW Yan Diomande
From Bundesliga kings Bayern Munich to Premier League clubs Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Yan Diomande is going to have no shortage of suitors in the summer transfer window as one of the brightest young prospects on the wings in European football.
Everyone is after explosive young wingers who can beat their man and produce goal scoring chances for themselves, and while Diomande is very raw, he has shown for both club and country that he has legitimate world class potential.
Hamburg CB Luka Vuskovic
Arguably the best player in the Bundesliga this season who does not play in the Bayern Munich attack, Luka Vuskovic is as easy of a Rookie of the Year candidate as there is, destroying attackers with his physical strength and aerial ability while scoring with the quality of a striker.
Tottenham Hotspur need to do whatever they can to hold onto Vuskovic for as long as possible, but even though they are playing coy, Bayern Munich are talking so much about Vuskovic in press conferences that you just know they are angling to make an offer for the Croatian sensation.
Hoffenheim LW Bazoumana Toure
An electrifying winger who is as good as it gets in the Bundesliga at progressing the ball and winning one on ones, Bazoumana Toure has barely scratched the surface on what he can become and should not be overshadowed by the other big stars at Hoffenheim. He is an excellent young winger.
RB Leipzig LW Antonio Nusa
Antonio Nusa has been more impressive for the Norway national team than for RB Leipzig, but the basic box score statistics do not do justice to either his quality now or to his upside in the future.
Leipzig have an embarrassment of riches on the wings, but it feels like Nusa is both overlooked and not going to be able to play his very best football in the Bundesliga. He could be a perfect signing for a mid-table Premier League club looking for a potential secret superstar.
RB Leipzig CB Castello Lukeba
RB Leipzig have a few wingers worth big clubs’ attention on the summer 2026 transfer market, but everyone knows that Leipzig do their finest work when it comes to producing high quality young center backs.
Castello Lukeba looks set to follow in the footsteps of Dayot Upamecano, Josko Gvardiol, and Ibrahima Konate, and it would be quite the summer transfer window if Real Madrid were to pair a free agent Konate with the 23-year-old Lukeba.
Union Berlin CB Leopold Querfeld
Even Liverpool fans are becoming wise to Union Berlin secret superstar Leopold Querfeld, who has emerged from under Danilho Doekhi’s shadow to become one of the most respected center backs in the Bundesliga.
Just 22 years old, Querfeld is a high-quality defender on the ball with both his progressive passing and even his ball striking from range, and few can question his reading of the game and defensive instincts.
Borussia Dortmund LB Daniel Svensson
The most intriguing of the Borussia Dortmund fullbacks, what Daniel Svensson lacks in athleticism, he more than makes up for in work rate. Svensson has been a bright spot going up and down the left flank for BVB, and he could make a ton of sense for Leeds or other Premier League clubs a little lower in the table.
Hoffenheim ST Fisnik Asllani
FC Koln’s Said El Mala is grabbing most of the headlines, but Fisnik Asllani is more ready to contribute up top for the big clubs in European football, and he is just as high on the list of Bayern Munich and Premier League clubs as El Mala.
Hoffenheim are becoming a factory for top young talent again, and Asllani has both the skill on the ball and the finishing chops to blossom into the next big thing in the Bundesliga if he does stay for one more year of seasoning – but he is already prepared for a big move.
Eintracht Frankfurt LB Nathaniel Brown
Left backs who can attack with Nathaniel Brown’s quality and have the speed to recover against world-class wingers do not grow on trees, and the raw tools Brown has have made clubs as big as Liverpool keen on potentially stealing him away from one of the best clubs in Germany at producing top talent.
Brown is still raw, but his quality progressively as a passer and dribbler should enable him to transition successfully to any league. But imagine how brilliant he would be in an expansive style of football in Italy.
Borussia Monchengladbach CM Rocco Reitz
Rocco Reitz is the new hidden gem Bundesliga midfielder worth investing in, and although a lot has fallen apart at Monchengladbach over recent seasons, the young German international is a real bright spot worth praising highly.
Rugged defensively and composed on the ball, Reitz is one of the most consistent and finest overall midfield maestros in German football, and, thankfully, fans around Europe are taking notice. He would be an upgrade for the majority of clubs in the Premier League right now.
