Brighton Are Going For A New Transfer Bargain To Fill A Major Need

Brighton are one of the most exciting teams in world football, but they have their flaws. One of the club's biggest flaws right now is the lack of a solid right back. According to RTI Esporte, the Seagulls are finally getting ready to address this problem and spend on a right back this summer.  The Brazilian news outlet claims that the Seagulls have bid €4 million on Flamengo fullback Wesley França. The report says Brighton have also offered a 20% sell-on clause as a part of the deal.  The 20-year-old has been a mainstay for the Rubro-Negro since breaking into the squad last season. Because of this Flamengo have rejected Brighton’s offer. Flamengo reportedly want at least €8 million for Wesley.  It’s unclear whether Brighton are willing to meet Flamengo’s asking price, but with ho...

Why Roberto De Zerbi Desperately Wants Ansu Fati To Stay In Brighton

Brighton signing Barcelona wonderkid Ansu Fati on loan last September was one of the most surprising moves of the Premier League summer transfer window. Despite the high hopes for Fati at Brighton, he has not torn it up on the South Coast so far this season.  The 21-year-old has scored just four goals in all competitions this season and has been plagued by injuries since November. As bad as it’s been for Fati, Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is not willing to give up on the young winger just yet.  According to Diario SPORT reporter Toni Juanmartí, De Zerbi wants to bring Fati back on loan next season. De Zerbi reportedly thinks Fati just needs a little more time. “Fati is a sleeping giant and Roberto is determined to wake him up,” says the bombshell Diario SPORT report.  This news ...

Brighton Are Eyeing A Potential Danny Welbeck Replacement

If you’ve watched Brighton at all this season, you know that Roberto De Zerbi likes to rotate who plays for him up front. Some weeks it’s João Pedro who starts up front. Others, it’s Irish wonderkid Evan Ferguson or Danny Welbeck.  Ferguson and Pedro are players Brighton know they can count on in the future. They can’t say the same for Danny Welbeck, and have started to look for his replacement. HITC’s Graeme Bailey reported this week that Vitoria Guimaraes’ Jota Silva is one of the names Brighton could sign to replace Welbeck.  The 24-year-old Portuguese international has 9 goals and 5 assists in the Primeira Liga this season. As a right-footed player, he predominantly plays as a right winger. Silva has also played through the middle for Vitoria Guimaraes as a traditional striker or...

Ranking The 10 Worst Chelsea Transfers Of The Todd Boehly Era So Far

In the summer 2022, Todd Boehly kicked off a new era at Chelsea that can only be described as disastrous. The former 2020/21 Champions League winners under Thomas Tuchel quickly fired the beloved German manager, brought in Boehly's pick Graham Potter from Brighton, promptly fired him, and have since entered a tumultuous relationship with ex-Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino. Chelsea have gone from regular Champions League contenders and European champions to a team that basically has little hope of getting back into any sort of European competition. They are spending more money than anyone else yet getting results equivocal to the likes of Wolves and Fulham within the Premier League. Other than success under Pochettino in cups, there isn't much to love about the Blues right now. ...

The 3 Best Liverpool Academy Prospects Jürgen Klopp Developed

As Liverpool prepare to wave farewell to Jürgen Klopp and thank him for everything he has accomplished at one of the most prestigious institutions in world football, many are taking time to reflect on his impact and legacy at Anfield. For the most part, Klopp upgraded Liverpool by making shrewd signings on the transfer market - such as the vaunted trio of Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah - and changing the mentality around the club both tactically and, in a matter of speaking, spiritually. He also helped develop young talents into the stars they are today, including a trio of players who have been, are currently, and, most importantly, will be important to Liverpool's success. Here are the three best Liverpool academy players Jürgen Klopp helped develop. Trent Ale...

5 Biggest Tottenham Flops From Embarrassing 3-0 Loss to Fulham

After demolishing Aston Villa last weekend 4-0 in a pivotal battle for a Champions League place, Tottenham were on the wrong side of a blowout defeat this Saturday afternoon at the Craven Cottage, losing 3-0 in the Premier League to a side ranked seven spots below them in the table. Here were the five worst individual performances for Spurs from this humbling loss on the road. CM Pape Sarr Pape Sarr's stats vs. Fulham Pape Sarr may have been the worst player on the pitch, as he was part of the reason why Tottenham were so badly overrun by Fulham in the middle of the park. The 21-year-old did put in a shift defensively, but he was so poor on the ball, creating literally nothing for his teammates while failing to effectively progress possession for Spurs. Sarr completed a ghast...

3 Players Who Cost Wolves The Most In Shock FA Cup Collapse Vs. Coventry

Wolves suffered a massive shock defeat in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup quarterfinals against Coventry, a side currently playing in the Championship, where they are in eighth. Currently ninth in the Premier League, Wolves have been on the rebound under Gary O'Neil, who is set to earn himself a prolonged stay in Wolverhampton. He'll want to head back to the drawing board, though, and learn from this tough-to-swallow FA Cup setback. It was a chaotic match with Wolves going down 1-0 early in the second half after a cagey first 45 minutes. It looked like Wolves had the game rescued with late goals in the 83rd and 88th from Rayan Aït-Nouri and Hugo Bueno, with Aït-Nouri also assisting the second potential winner. But then Coventry took the game away with goals in the 96th and 99th in...
