Bruno Guimaraes just made Arsenal fans love him even more

Bruno Guimaraes had himself a dream appearance off the bench against Leeds United, scoring the winning goal in the 70th minute for Arsenal while drawing three fouls in a dynamic, almost bubbly display in the midfield. And after the game, his words to the Arsenal faithful will only endear him to the fan base even more, “It feels unbelievable. In the last game against Brighton, we were not at the level that this shirt demands. Today, the mentality was bouncing back. This is my first official game at home, scoring an important goal, three important points - I’m very happy!” Arsenal fans will be elated to hear Bruno G. call the team out for how terrible they were in that 3-0 loss to Brighton, because that was indeed totally inexcusable from the defending champions. Arsenal spent a pretty penny to sign Bruno Guimaraes this season, and while he has not been fit enough to make his biggest impact, he was decisive for the Gunners in their tough 2-1 win over impressive underdogs Leeds United. The iconic Martin Keown waxed poetic about the personality the reigning champions showed in the second half of the win over the Peacocks, and he was particularly impressed with the signing from Newcastle United: “If you're gonna be champions again, to repeat it, you have to win these games. And Arsenal found a way to win. But, credit Leeds, I thought Leeds were outstanding, compact. In the duels they were tenacious. And then suddenly Bruno Guimaraes comes off the bench, and he plays with that electricity, a personality. Ok, Calafiori gets the equaliser, but it g...

It's time to talk Premier League again, as the season will return after the break in just a few days, starting with reigning champions Arsenal taking on surprise package Leeds United on Saturday. Although the break is a reset point for most, there are a handful of players who find themselves under immense pressure right now and are going to be squarely under the microscope when the action returns. Manchester United LW Marcus Rashford Marcus Rashford has started four games for Manchester United this season, and while he's had at least three key passes in three matches and has been pretty good on the ball with his dribbling, he really hasn't emerged as a clear option in the 11 for the Red Devils. And he wasn't even a player they wanted to keep for this season; they just had to take him bac...
