Real Madrid center midfielder Dani Ceballos has one fit out the door of the Santiago Bernabeu, as he has found it exceedingly difficult to get into the starting XI this season following the signing of Jude Bellingham this past summer.
Ceballos was a standout in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, developing a renewed importance under Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the Champions League-winning campaign as a key role player.
Teams around Europe will be circling for the talented Spaniard, and rivals Atletico Madrid have already been consistently linked to the 27-year-old midfielder.
Now, according to a report fromĀ Diario AS, AC Milan are interested in signing Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid and would prefer the deal to be a loan with an option to buy.
Similarly, Milan wanted Brahim Diaz on a loan deal with an option to buy, fighting for that opportunity to purchase the talented Spanish attacking midfielder from Real Madrid.
Instead, Real Madrid resisted those attempts and loaned Brahim out for two years, and he has returned to the Spanish capital as a key role player and X-Factor goal-scorer.
Dani Ceballos could leave permanently to Milan after shining on loan, and he could be a great fit for Serie A with his ball-winning, technical quality, slick dribbling skills, playmaking, and competitive fire.
The former Real Betis and Arsenal midfielder could profile as a classic Serie A No. 8 who loves to skip past opponents, get scrappy, and take risks.
Milan could use more all-around quality and fire in midfield, and Ceballos could be an economical way for RedBird Capital to bring that kind of player into the San Siro in 2024. On a loan deal, Ceballos is the definition of no-risk.
