3 Marcus Rashford transfer destinations that would break the Premier League

Although the INEOS project is expected to keep Marcus Rashford and watch how his career proceeds under a new manager and under their organizational ideals, the transfer rumors surrounding the England international are reaching a crescendo.

After a horrible 2023/24 Premier League season, there’s a belief that Rashford may need a change in scenery and a new challenge in his career to be all that he can be.

A move away from Old Trafford to a club outside England would be best, but what if Manchester United end up selling him within the Premier League because it is the best financial offer or because Rashford does not want a move abroad?

In that case, here are three possible transfer destinations for Marcus Rashford that would send the Premier League into a frenzy.

Arsenal

Arsenal already have a great left winger in Gabriel Martinelli, but the young Brazilian international is also coming off a disappointing 2023/24 season.

The Gunners haven’t just been linked to top strikers targets like Alexander Isak and Victor Osimhen this summer. There are also rumblings that Mikel Arteta is looking for a left winger to compete with Martinelli.

Marcus Rashdford could be an intriguing and shocking signing. It may seem difficult to envision Manchester United selling Rashford to a rival or the player agreeing to a move, but history has shown these kinds of moves are not impossible.

Arteta has a bold way of doing things, and Rashford is a player who can bring goals from the left and can even start in the middle of the attack.

Chelsea

Chelsea are probably going to sell Raheem Sterling if they can find the right offer, while Mykhaylo Mudryk’s spot as a starter is fully in question.

Perhaps only hiring Roberto De Zerbi can convince Chelsea to give Mudryk the first crack at the left wing job in the 2024/25 season, because, otherwise, it is likely Chelsea will go for an established player to challenge the Ukrainian international.

Marcus Rashford could be a reasonable gamble for Chelsea. He, like Raheem Sterling, is a proven 15-goal forward in the Premier League, but at 26 years of age, he has more upside, too.

Manchester United may bristle at the idea of selling Rashford to a direct competitor like Chelsea, but there is less of a historic rivalry between the Red Devils and Blues than there is between Man United and Arsenal.

Aston Villa

A more underrated landing spot for Marcus Rashford is Aston Villa, and because of the more healthy club environment with lower expectations, Unai Emery’s side may ultimately be the best spot for the left winger.

Aston Villa have a quality starter on the left side in Leon Bailey, but they are in the market for another player, as they want to fully beef up their squad for their upcoming Champions League campaign.

Rashford can get the chance to work with one of Europe’s most well-rounded strikers, double-digit assist threat Ollie Watkins, supplying Aston Villa with goals across from left-footed right winger Moussa Diaby.

Emery has been getting the most out of his players at Villa Park, and he could relish the opportunity to truly turn Rashford into a Premier League Player of the Season player. He’s already done that with the late-blooming Watkins.
