Brighton were flying high after the 2022/23 season, as they qualified for the Europa League against the odds under new manager Roberto De Zerbi, who more than proved he can hang in the Premier League. However, Brighton's lack of squad depth was exposed, especially at key positions, this seasons, as the Seagulls have been pushed into the mid-table and will not qualify for European football next season. For now, it looks like De Zerbi will stay despite some interest from top clubs around European football, and even if he were to leave, he would likely push the club into making an ambitious hire to keep the project going.
