The 2026/27 Premier League season is starting up again soon, and before the new campaign begins, let’s take a look at who every team’s best scorer will be
Manchester City: Erling Haaland
Arsenal: Bukayo Saka
In theory, the leading goal scorer for Arsenal should be Viktor Gyokeres at the No. 9, but he is so hard to rely on. And while nobody will confuse Bukayo Saka for being the most killer goal scoring winger in the world, he has better technical ability and feel for the game than Gyokeres. He is bound for a bounce back season in 2026/27.
Chelsea: Cole Palmer
Like with Arsenal, it’s hard to pick against the striker, but Joao Pedro brings a lot more than goals to the table for the Blues. And, in fact, what makes him such an asset to Chelsea is the fact that he is more than a scoring striker, which is the same for his new backup, Danny Welbeck.
Estevao Willian and Morgan Rogers are worth keeping in mind, but Cole Palmer is the main star of Chelsea and has every chance to prove it in 2026/27 under Xabi Alonso as the Spanish manager’s new Florian Wirtz. And it would be foolish to doubt the Icy One.
Liverpool: Hugo Ekitike
Alexander Isak was a top scorer in the Premier League two seasons ago at Newcastle, but he has now become hard to trust after an injury plagued 2025/26 season at Liverpool that exposed why Real Madrid and Barcelona didn’t want him from Real Sociedad during his time in La Liga.
Meanwhile, Hugo Ekitike, a new signing for Liverpool as well even before Isak last summer, was a revelation. With Mohamed Salah out of the picture, this is 100 percent Ekitike’s team.
Manchester United: Benjamin Sesko
Long term, Benjamin Sesko is a better goal scoring and forward option than Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. The latter two are more experienced and established in the Premier League so they took the shine last season, but don’t be surprised to see Sesko blow up under Michael Carrick this season.
Tottenham Hotspur: Mathys Tel
Tottenham’s leading goal scorer is probably going to be someone who isn’t even on the team yet, as Roberto De Zerbi is determined to pluck Cody Gakpo from Liverpool and potentially even make him the new starting center forward.
Richarlison was Tottenham’s best scorer last season with 11 Premier League goals, but the real gem to watch is Mathys Tel. The U23 Frenchman has been Spurs best player this preseason and is going to blow up this year if De Zerbi gives him the keys.
Brighton: Yasin Ayari
With Danny Welbeck gone, nobody knows who is going to lead the way for Brighton, but watching the 2026 World Cup, it is hard not to take notice of Yasin Ayari. He is a great technician who shined brightly in the Bundesliga and could take a big next step this season.
Newcastle: Nick Woltemade
There are some dark horses in the Newcastle squad to watch, like Anthony Elanga despite a terrible 2025/26 season, but Nick Woltemade is the main pick by default. Without Anthony Gordon, more will be on the German international’s plate.
Bournemouth: Eli Junior Kroupi
Rayan is a demon on the right wing and Evanilson is highly underrated as an all around player, but Eli Junior Kroupi is one thousand percent the big talent at Bournemouth and the main source of goals. He will miss the start of the season injured, but the PSG, Barcelona, and Tottenham target will still prove why the crown is his. He is can’t miss television.
Brentford: Igor Thiago
Nottingham Forest: Chris Wood
Crystal Palace: Jean-Philippe Mateta
Ismaila Sarr is a real sleeper, but most of his best work is in creating danger and chances with skill on the ball. Jean Philippe-Mateta was unlucky not to score in the double digits again last season. He is legitimately one of the best Premier League strikers in terms of his touch, technique, finishing, intelligence, and physicality. Jorgan Strand-Larsen will not threaten his spot.
Aston Villa: Ollie Watkins
Everton: Thierno Barry
Iliman Ndiaye is easily the best forward on Everton, but he is more of a creator. Everton split striker duties with two big men in Thierno Barry and Beto, and while both have been disappointments, Barry is younger, was better at Villarreal than Beto was at Udinese, and has more rebound potential after just one rough transition year in the Premier League.
Leeds: Harry Wilson
Sunderland: Brian Brobbey
Fulham: Gonzalo Garcia
Raul Jimenez is a Premier League icon and the incumbent star, but Gonzalo Garcia was scoring goals for the mighty Real Madrid last season as Kylian Mbappe’s backup, even finding the back of the net more efficiently than the French Ballon d’Or candidate. Garcia is something special, and Alvaro Arbeloa is about to unleash him on the Premier League.
Ipswich: Jaden Philogene
Coventry: Haji Wright
Hull: Joe Gelhardt
