The West Ham transfer everyone is pushing for

West Ham have added some serious attacking juice to their squad this summer in prospect Luis Guilherme, left winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds, and Champions League Finalist Niclas Fullkrug at striker.

However, with West Ham mulling the transfer of attacking midfielder James Ward-Prowse, just signed from Southampton last summer, the club isn’t done looking at attacking options on the market.

PSG forward Carlos Soler has been the most frequently linked name to West Ham in recent weeks, though the former Valencia star has also gotten looks from elsewhere in the Premier League with both Everton and Brighton interested.

That said, West Ham are the clear favorites to sign Soler now. Fabrizio Romano reports that the former Spanish national team player views the Hammers as his priority destination.

Furthermore, former LaLiga coach Julen Lopetegui is said to be pushing hard to sign the 27-year-old attacking midfielder, while director Tim Steidten is also at the forefront of a concerted effort to bring the former 11-goal scorer to London.

Soler would be a regular in the West Ham lineup and could fight to become the main starting 10, though West Ham will have several options of where to start Soler and several other options to be the main attacking midfielder.

Lopetegui has some very talented attackers within his ranks, and with the 20 million euro signing of Soler from PSG more likely to be complete than not before Friday’s deadline, it looks like West Ham will be that much stronger as they push to get back to European football.
