Manchester United get encouraging Mason Mount injury news

Manchester United paid 55 million pounds in order to sign Chelsea star Mason Mount in the summer 2023 transfer window, but they have yet to receive a return on investment in the England international due to injuries.

Mount has been out since the second match of the 2024/25 Premier League season with a hamstring injury, suffered around 46 minutes into the match against Brighton.

This injury comes after Mount missed well over 20 games in his first season at Old Trafford, mostly with a calf injury, leading Manchester United fans to worry if Mount was already a flop.

The good news is that the talented playmaker can return to the lineup to prove his point soon, as the Manchester Evening News reports that Mason Mount has returned to Manchester United’s first-team training and could return sooner than expected.

Mount was initially scheduled to miss four to five weeks of action, so this isn’t a super early return but is still a positive for Manchester United. Mount could potentially be available to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend or Dutch side Twente in the Champions League next weekend.
