Liverpool Have To Kiss Their Dream Real Madrid Transfer Target Goodbye

Liverpool have to keep one head over their shoulders and watch out for Real Madrid, who are showing a high degree of interest in impending free agent right back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

If anything, the TAA to Real Madrid transfer rumors are only going to heat up after Madrid star Dani Carvajal tore his ACL, making Florentino Perez’s dream right back target that much more of a priority for the Merengue club.

As of right now, though, the most likely move is for Alexander-Arnold to remain at Anfield and sign an extension. A generational playmaker at the right back position, Alexander-Arnold has become synonymous with the club, and most great Liverpool players have a way of staying loyal to the team.

On the opposite end, Liverpool have shown interest of their own in several Real Madrid superstars over the years, including Fede Valverde and Rodrygo Goes, who have since developed into two of the best players in the entire world.

Neither Fede nor Rodrygo are realistic, and neither is a transfer target Liverpool actually pursued hard the summer he left for Real Madrid. That player would be none other than elite No. 6 Aurelien Tchouameni, who is one of Madrid’s most important players tactically,

Tchouameni has been a smash hit since joining Real Madrid from Monaco in 2022, replacing a Manchester United-bound Casemiro after Real already won the Champions League over Liverpool. And since then, Tchou has won a UCL of his own with the Royal Whites.

According to a report from Matteo Moretto, despite the transfer rumors out of England linking him to Liverpool, Aurelien Tchouameni has no interest in leaving Real Madrid for Anfield in 2025.

As with many of the Liverpool transfer rumors, such as the ones linking them to Kylian Mbappe, this Tchouameni nugget has been exaggerated and probably fabricated out of thin air by some outlets in the country.

Tchouameni, like the other stars of Real Madrid, is quite happy to be playing for the reigning champions of Europe. The Frenchman is intent on building a legacy in a defensive midfield that has housed greats such as Redondo, Casemiro, and Liverpool’s own Xabi Alonso in the past.
