Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo Goes has been on the list of more than a handful of key players whom president Florentino Perez views as untouchable and would not transfer for any fee in the world.
Although Rodrygo has been overshadowed by Vinicius Junior since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019, ceding his preferred left wing position to his Brazilian compatriot, he has undoubtedly become an icon of the club already.
Rodrygo tends to bring his best in the Champions League, writing his name into the history books in 2022 with an improbable double late in the game to rescue a semifinal victory over Manchester City from the jaws of defeat.
So far in the 2024/25 season, Rodrygo has been Real’s best attacking player despite all the hype on Vinicius Jr. and new forward Kylian Mbappe, as only injury has been able to slow the 23-year-old a bit.
Despite Rodrygo’s continued importance in the side even after the Mbappe and Endrick transfers, elite teams around Europe continue to be linked to the former Santos man.
Now, Fichajes is reporting that Real’s frequent Champions League rivals Manchester City have submitted a jaw-dropping 150 million euro transfer offer to Real Madrid in the hopes of coaxing an unlikely Rodrygo Goes sale.
This transfer rumor comes on the heels of Relevo’s report that top Premier League clubs are circling around Vinicius Jr., as well as PSG who are seeking revenge for Mbappe’s free transfer to the Bernabeu.
Vini Jr. is also being courted by the Saudi Pro League, who want to pair the No. 7 with fellow Brazilian star Neymar at Al-Hilal and entice the Real Madrid left winger further by paying him a salary matching legendary Merengue No.7 Cristiano Ronaldo’s wages at Al-Nassr.
Neither Rodrygo nor Vini Jr. are for sale, and there is no indication that either of the close friends would want to leave Real Madrid – a club they clearly love and have already won two Champions League titles with.
