Chelsea have made a significant sale in the summer transfer window, as BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella reports that the Blues have agreed to sell Tyrique George to Everton for a cool 25 million pounds.
For many Chelsea fans, the George sale is unsurprising, as the club never seemed to believe in the 20 year old prospect, with many fans worried that the sale will come back to bite them.
But the real annoyance is that George is the one to go before Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho after those two players were much, much worse than George in the attack following their big money transfers.
Chelsea should probably be buying in on their own prospects before splurging on questionable talents, but since they are giving up on George, the only question is, who will go next?
If Chelsea are already giving up on Tyrique George, then it is time for them to give up on one of those transfer flops. And the next sale after George has to be Alejandro Garnacho, who is already fielding interest from Serie A.
Garnacho has a poor attitude, just as he did at Manchester United, and he is not a good enough athlete for the wing or a creative enough player for the No. 10. He lacks progression, consistency, and quality, and if Chelsea can find a willing exit partner, Garnacho’s sale makes the most sense after the George move to Everton.
