Eder Militao has missed 21 games, out since early December with a torn muscle fiber, and the Real Madrid defense has been predictably reeling with by far their best defensive player out for months with another serious injury.
But the great news for Madridistas is that Militao is on the verge of returning. Per a report from MARCA, the Brazilian international is now in the final stretch of his recovery and is even in play to return at the end of the month of March.
It is more likely, though, that Real Madrid give him additional risk to protect him from further injury, waiting until after the March international break for the world class center back to play.
So while Militao will not be able to boost the Madrid defense against Atletico Madrid or against Manchester City, he will be able to help them in the later Champions League knockout rounds and the tight La Liga title race with Barcelona.
