Everton vs. Fulham Fulham are in the top half of the Premier League table after eight Matchdays, above big summer spenders Manchester United, and while nobody really takes them seriously as European contenders, they're only two points off seventh-placed Tottenham. You'd have to back the Cottagers as pretty heavy favorites against an Everton side that continues to be in disarray and shows no real signs of sustained progress here in 2024. Everton sit 16th in the table, but they are at least five points clear of Crystal Palace in the drop zone, though it's hard to argue that the Toffees have a better squa than the Eagles in any way. Ranking the best wingers in the Premier League is a task so onerous that it may seem foolhardy, because even restricting the time span to the last five years doesn't make the task even easier. How do you rank, for example, a new breakout star like Anthony Gordon against a fallen superstar like Sadio Mane? Where does a gifted footballer like Riyad Mahrez stand against a former goal-scoring machine like Raheem Sterling?
