A possible West Ham starting lineup with Carlos Soler

West Ham are closing in on the signing of attacking midfielder Carlos Soler, who spent the last two seasons with PSG after previously scoring 11 goals in back-to-back seasons with Valencia in LaLiga. New West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui saw Soler's quality up close in Spanish football, and it seems like he is sold on the former Spanish national team player as a piece of the puzzle in London. Soler could be replacing 2023 signing James Ward-Prowse as a main attacking midfielder - of which Lopetegui has been deploying two recently for the Hammers. With new, talented faces in defense, midfield, and attack - including those with LaLiga ties like ex-Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez - there is a great deal of optimism surrounding West Ham in 2024/25. Assuming all goes well and Sole...

The West Ham transfer everyone is pushing for

West Ham have added some serious attacking juice to their squad this summer in prospect Luis Guilherme, left winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds, and Champions League Finalist Niclas Fullkrug at striker. However, with West Ham mulling the transfer of attacking midfielder James Ward-Prowse, just signed from Southampton last summer, the club isn't done looking at attacking options on the market. PSG forward Carlos Soler has been the most frequently linked name to West Ham in recent weeks, though the former Valencia star has also gotten looks from elsewhere in the Premier League with both Everton and Brighton interested. That said, West Ham are the clear favorites to sign Soler now. Fabrizio Romano reports that the former Spanish national team player views the Hammers as his prio...

West Ham close to signing attacker for €20 million

West Ham came into the summer 2024 transfer window with a pretty darn good attacking quartet of Mohammed Kudus, Michail Antonio, Lucas Paqueta, and Jarrod Bowen. However, West Ham were missing depth on the wings, as well as a true No. 9 who could anchor the attack as a fox-in-the-box poacher. After hiring Julen Lopetegui to replace David Moyes, signing that kind of striker became their priority. Now, West Ham have their man in former Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen striker Niclas Fullkrug. In addition to the German international, West Ham have also signed Brazilian right wing prospect Luis Guilherme and promising Leeds left winger Crysencio Summerville to add quality depth and potential future stars to either wing. The Hammers aren't done, though, as they are focused on signin...

Everton want to steal West Ham’s top forward target

Everton want to makes sure they stay alive in the Premier League relegation battle this season and would ideally like to finally have some breathing room apart from the teams in the bottom three of the table. Adding more attacking juice needed to be the Toffees' priority this summer, and they acquired two promising players in Marseille striker Iliman Ndiaye and Napoli attacking midfielder Jesper Lindstrom, who was among the many misused talents in their 2023/24 collapse. Everton are optimistic that they can get more out of these two players, but they seem to be interested in landing a more proven commodity to work with their established names from the 2023/24 season. According to a report from Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Everton have held long-standing interest in PS...

Why are Chelsea going back for Joao Felix despite his 2023 flop? How might Carlos Soler help West Ham return to European football? And which three players are hurting Barcelona the most in the wage department? Here are the latest takes around the world football transfer rumor mill. Making sense of Joao Felix to Chelsea Leave it to Chelsea to make the most shocking transfer of the summer window, because for a fee of 45 million pounds, the Blues have agreed to bring Joao Felix back to Stamford Bridge...on a permanent basis. It's not like Felix set the Bridge on fire when he arrived in the second half of the 2022/23 season, nor is it as if he was such a rousing success at the Camp Nou either. Felix is who he is at this stage. A very talented, very limited playmaker who plays more f...

Seeing the bright side of the Carlos Soler to Brighton transfer rumors

Brighton have made waves this transfer window by signing some of Europe’s best wonderkids. The Seagulls now look ready to buck their transfer strategy to sign a high-profile veteran player from Paris Saint-Germain.  According to Le Parisien, Brighton are interested in signing Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler from the French giants.  Soler, 27, has been a productive player for PSG, but he’s never been a great fit. The Parisians signed him from Valencia in 2022 for €18m. After just one season, PSG were willing to let him go and started shopping him around to other clubs.  Brighton were one of the clubs linked to Soler last summer. Those links ramped up in the January transfer window, but have since gone quiet. Until now, that is.  On paper, Soler seems like a strange fit for Brigh...
