Hansi Flick is keeping his plan for Ansu Fati’s best position a secret

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick appears to be quite high on Ansu Fati, who was the most talented young player in the world just a few years ago before a devastating injury sapped his acceleration and speed. Fati is still a useful player, but he hasn't been able to reach those same levels post-injury and recently failed to make an impression at Brighton despite also earning praise from another great manager, Roberto De Zerbi. Back fit and medically cleared for Barca's Champions League opener on Thursday night against Monaco, Fati is now the biggest headline because of the intrigue around his role. Speaking to reporters before the game, Flick was tight-lipped on his exact plan or even position for Fati, but based on his cryptic answer, he seems to be expecting big things for the 21-ye...

Ansu Fati continues to impress Hansi Flick

As Barcelona prepare to face Monaco on Thursday in the Champions League, the Blaugrana are taking stock of their current performances in LaLiga and have to love what they are seeing. Although Xavi did indeed do a strong job of setting the foundation for Barcelona, Hansi Flick has, as anticipated, taken the club to new heights from a tactical perspective and has done a significantly better job of working with the attacking players, especially young standouts. This past summer, there was concern that Ansu Fati could leave the club permanently after failing to get on the pitch long enough at Brighton, failing to answer the concerns that led to him temporarily leaving Barcelona in the first place. But instead of giving up on Fati, Flick is backing the 21-year-old, who was once, like L...

LaLiga manager takes brutal shot at Real Madrid’s tactics in comparison to Barcelona’s

Although Real Madrid tore Real Valladolid apart in the second half of a 3-0 win, it took them some time to get going. Furthermore, it has been Real's only win to this point in the LaLiga season after three games. The new-look attack with blockbuster signing Kylian Mbappe has looked worse than last year's iteration, with Mbappe cutting a frustrated - and often selfish - figure up top, failing to connect with his more successful teammates, Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior. Real Madrid drew 1-1 to both Mallorca and Las Palmas, and with Barcelona putting together a commanding 7-0 display against Real Valladolid reminiscent of LaLiga of 10 years ago, the Blaugrana suddenly look like the stronger side. After Barcelona decimated Valladolid in a vintage Hansi Flick coaching display, Real ...

Barcelona reportedly rule out two of their fans’ dream signings

The arrival of Hansi Flick at Barcelona has reportedly led La Blaugrana to completely reconsider their plans for four key transfer targets.  According to El Chiringuito reporter Jose Alvarez, João Cancelo and João Félix are very close to staying at Barcelona for at least one more season. Cancelo and Félix, who spent the 2023/24 La Liga season on loan, looked set to return to their parent clubs this summer. With Cancelo and Félix staying at the club, Barca have ruled out signing Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.  Kimmich emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona this season, following disagreements with Thomas Tuchel. The former Bayern Munich boss preferred to play the German midfielder as a traditional No. 6 instead of his normal roaming midfiel...
