The best summer 2024 transfer made by every Serie A club

The 2024/25 Serie A season will kick off on Aug. 17 with the likes of Inter Milan and AC Milan in action, and after winning the league by nearly 20 points, the Nerazzurri will be out to achieve even more, perhaps looking to get back to the Champions League Final. Serie A underwent a lot of turnover this past summer, mainly from perennial disappointments Juventus, who finally axed Max Allegri and replaced him with Thiago Motta - the darling manager who nearly led fairytale side Bologna to the Champions League. Although the summer 2024 transfer window in Serie A is far from settled with players like Federico Chiesa and Tammy Abraham mired in intraleague transfer rumors, enough deals have been made so that we can fairly take stock of the window thus far. Here is a look at every team'...

Brighton preparing to receive another Napoli transfer bid for Billy Gilmour

Napoli have not given up their pursuit of Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour. Gli Azzurri bid £8m for the Scottish international last week. Reportedly, Gilmour is one of Antonio Conte’s top transfer targets. The club are working hard to get the deal done before the start of the season.  Before Napoli can sign Gilmour, Gli Azzurri will need to get rid of some of their current players. Italian reporter Matteo Moretto revealed that Antontio Conte specifically identified the Scotsman as one his top transfer targets for this window.  The Italian manager spoke with Gilmour this week about a possible move. The 23-year-old is open to joining Napoli and personal terms are not going to be an issue. Whether Serie A club can afford to pay Brighton’s asking price is another story though.  The Seagulls have already rejected a £8m bid from Napoli for Gilmour, but they could be willing to let him go for around £12m.  Brighton signed Gilmour for £7.5m fro...

Did Roberto De Zerbi’s Own Staff Member Reveal His Next Move?

Roberto De Zerbi is one of the most in-demand managers in club football right now. The Brighton boss has been linked to Liverpool, Barcelona, and almost every other big job open right now. No one knows what the future holds for De Zerbi, but his assistant manager, Andrea Maldera, may have just given us a massive hint about where De Zerbi will be next season.  Speaking to Radio Goal on Kiss Kiss Napoli this week, De Zerbi’s right-hand man, Maldera, revealed that his boss might be interested in taking the Napoli job someday.  Maldera talked about De Zerbi's attachment to Napoli “De Zerbi at Napoli? He is in love with Italy. It is his country, and Napoli is among his favorite teams. We're fine at Brighton. We have another two years on our contract, then if a proposal came from Italy, and...

And is Jude Bellingham or Jamal Musiala the best young player? Let's rank the top 10 U23 players in the world before 2024 begins. 10. Manchester City LW Jérémy Doku It may seem too soon to rank Jérémy Doku in the top ten of the world's best U23 players, given this is his first season with Manchester City and he hasn't even logged 700 minutes for the Citizens. Ranking the 10 best strikers in 2023/24: Inter Milan duo join Barça’s Lewandowski, Bayern’s Kane

Nobody generates more headlines than the players who score the goals. Most clubs with aspirations of winning trophies require a man up top who can consistently find the back of the net, with very few exceptions existing in the history of world football. Real Madrid? Juventus? The 5 best transfer destinations for Man United’s Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho's future at Manchester United seems to be over. His feud with manager Erik ten Hag has become a distraction, and it has gotten to the point where it is a bit ridiculous. Since joining United from Borussia Dortmund in a transfer worth 85 million euros, Sancho has been a disappointment. The flashes of brilliance have been few and far between, with inconsistency being the hallmark of his tenure in Manchester thus far. Despite all he accomplished in the Bundesliga as a legitimately world-class player for BVB, he has built no goodwill to fall back on in Manchester, so his feud with ten Hag is one-sided despite the pressure on the latter. Sancho has a lot to prove. He benefited from open spaces and Dortmund's playing style under Lucien Favre. There is a ton of quality in th...

Ranking the 10 best left backs in men’s football right now in 2023

Fullbacks are easy to overlook, but they are becoming increasingly vital in the modern game, especially to elite teams who have possession of the ball and need additional width. They need that width to both free space for the attackers in the middle and to offer additional venues for chance creation. Left backs tend to be scarcer than right backs for the simple fact that there are fewer left-footers. So having a game-breaking left back who can defend well while still creating a high volume of quality chances is the dream of every top team. And some clubs, like Juventus and Real Madrid, have found a proper solution to be difficult. So here are the best left backs in the world today, with this list subject to updates and changes as performances fluctuate and breakout stars emerge...
