Chelsea in talks to send another attacker with Romelu Lukaku to Napoli

Chelsea and Napoli have been in discussions for months regarding a potential transfer that would send Romelu Lukaku to the beautiful Italian city, even if Partenopei star striker Victor Osimhen does not head back the other direction. The Osimhen interest from Chelsea has cooled but could be revived later in the window at a reduced fee, but, in the meantime, there is optimism that Napoli and Chelsea can at least finally agree on a Lukaku deal. Lukaku was the MVP of Serie A in the 2020/21 season for champions Inter Milan and had a good season with Inter in 2022/23 when he returned to the Nerazzurri, winning the Coppa Italia and reaching the Champions League Final. Chelsea obtain €30 million transfer offer for out-of-favor forward

Chelsea have been big spenders again in the summer 2024 transfer window, securing Joao Felix and Pedro Neto for over 110 million euros while also landing Filip Jorgensen and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Napoli have been interested in the former Serie A MVP as a Victor Osimhen replacement, with Chelsea, of course, among the big c...

More recently, Manchester United have tried giving the iconic shirt to players like Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku after they were marquee signings, but neither ended up panning out. Big-name short-term signings like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Radamel Falcao have worn the No. 9 kit, too, but they made even less of an impact at Old Trafford. Here are the five strikers who wore the No. 9 at Manchester United a...

Ranking the 10 best strikers in 2023/24: Inter Milan duo join Barça’s Lewandowski, Bayern’s Kane

Nobody generates more headlines than the players who score the goals. Most clubs with aspirations of winning trophies require a man up top who can consistently find the back of the net, with very few exceptions existing in the history of world football. But who are the best strikers on the planet right now? Let's rank the top 10, based on a combination of pedigree and performance in the 2023/24 season, more heavily weighing recent performances. Because sport is a "what have you done for me lately?" business. Note that only out-and-out strikers were included, so players like Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé who share time between positions or players like Vinícius Júnior who are wingers playing as left-sided forwards did not count. 10. Marcus Thuram, Inter Milan Marcus Thuram ...
