Real Madrid Femenino star Maite Oroz signs with Tottenham Women
After speculation that she would be leaving Real Madrid for an FA WSL club this summer, Real Madrid star center midfielder Maite Oroz, one of the best No. 8's in European football, will be headed to Tottenham on the women's transfer deadline day of Sept. 13.
Oroz has signed a four-year contract with Tottenham, becoming a new star in the middle of the park for Spurs, joining Bethany England and Hayley Raso as the latest global stars to join the project.
Tottenham finished sixth in the FA WSL table, so there is work to do for them to get into Champions League contention, whereas Real Madrid are hoping to finally bridge the gap on Barcelona in Liga F.
