Liverpool reject massive transfer offer for star forward
Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has been actively linked with a move outside of Anfield for over a year now, as frustration with his poor finishing and lack of progress since his megadeal worth over 80 million pounds.
Although Nunez is a great athlete who creates havoc and a sense of danger in the attack, he is a poor finisher and has not shown that he is at the level of a starting striker for a team competing for the Premier League title.
If anything, the No. 9 position has been the only weak link in a Liverpool squad that has been carried by Mohamed Salah and now Cody Gakpo from a goal-scoring perspective, with even winger Luis Diaz offering a bigger goal threat than Nunez.
