Manchester United want to transform their attack further in the 2026/27 season. They greatly helped their team with the trio of Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo, but they still want one more missing piece to the puzzle.
And that piece is a true out and out winger who can explode along the touch line and still grab goals. Man United are stacking up targets, and Alex Crooks and Ben Jacobs report, via mufcmpb, that World Cup breakout star Ismaila Sarr is among a purportedly long list of winger options for them.
Sarr and Senegal met an unfortunate exit to Belgium, blowing a 2-0 lead, but Sarr was tremendous throughout the tournament. He could join Michael Olise, Marc Guehi, and Eberechi Eze as the next big player from the Eagles to make the jump to an elite club.
But Sarr is 28 and screams more of a rotational option than a regular Manchester United starter at the Champions League level or a future superstar. He showed in the Premier League and World Cup that he can play with five goal contributions in four games for Senegal and nine goals for Palace.
Manchester United should probably aim higher, but in conjunction with a more high upside buy under the age of 25, Sarr could make sense as a proven Premier League winger.
